My next phone (I hope)

Assuming that I can afford the bloody thing, my next phone will hopefully be the very lovely Nokia N97.

N97_main

It has a tonne of new features so numerous that I cant be bothered to type them so I’ll just copy from the Wiki:

Screen:              640×360 px (16:9 aspect ratio), 3.5 in, sliding tilt TFT LCD display, up to 16.7 m colours

Camera:            5.0 megapixels f/2.8 Carl Zeiss Tessar lens

Memory:            32GB on-board

Memory card:    microSDHC 16GB max (32GB Max MicroSDHC available in 2009)

Quite nice specs, No?

According to Google Product search:

Its over 9000

So that would take at least 4 years to save for it at the moment, with no extra shifts or bonuses…

I ASSUME the price will come down to a more reasonable amount.

Anywho, Joe out.

Joe’s Spring Anime Choices

FullMetal Alchemist Season 2 – April 2009

I mean, what can I say about this, apart from; “I hope they don’t screw it up.”

I really enjoyed the first season, hope the second is good (or even better 😀 )  I believe it is based on the manga more so than the first season.

Hayate No Gotoku 2 (Hayate the Combat Butler 2) – Spring 2009 title

Again I really hope they don’t mess this up. Perhaps some more content from the manga and maybe a bit more story. Mind you the first season kept to the original manga pretty well anyway. Just hope its full of hilarity like the first season. As some people are aware, sequels don’t always live up to the originals. We shall wait and see.

Haruhi-chan & Churuya-san (?)No idea if this is the real poster

Based off the HUGELY POPULAR anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” this series is supposed to be a parody of some doujinshi. I really don’t know how this series will turn out, I’m hoping its something to quell the fans of the original series complaining about a severe lack of Season 2.

Watch out for some more anime posts, as I’m under no doubt that I will watch some more

OpenBVE

A new interest of mine is that of train simulation. A widely followed program for years was the good old BVE train viewer. However, with the release of Windows Vista, a change to DirectX caused it to become incompatible. The program also showed signs of age, with some graphics cards not working. Then the community began its very own version of BVE aptly named “OpenBVE.”

The development of this program has been very swift indeed. In about 8 months, the developer has made leaps and bounds from the original, and very buggy alpha. OpenBVE now has more features than the current BVE and some of the routes look much better in OpenBVE than the old BVE.

Myself and DarkFire, have been following development of this program for a while and are pleased with how things are turning out. With regular updates from the developer, it really feels as if this program wont stagnate and become vapourware.

If you are interested in such things check out https://openbve.uuuq.com/en/ for the route player program and https://www.trainsimcentral.co.uk for some routes and trains.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

GWLTT

Rarely does a film capture my attention so much. Full of jokes, laugh out loud situations and serious parts, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, really shines as one of the best films that I have seen.

Have an IMDB quote:

A teenage girl finds that she has the ability to leap through time. With her newfound power, she tries to use it to her advantage, but soon finds that tampering with time can lead to some rather discomforting results. – IMDB

Do watch this movie if you can, it truly is a good film.
